Psalm 93

The Lord reigns,(A) he is robed in majesty;(B)
    the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength;(C)
    indeed, the world is established,(D) firm and secure.(E)
Your throne was established(F) long ago;
    you are from all eternity.(G)

The seas(H) have lifted up, Lord,
    the seas have lifted up their voice;(I)
    the seas have lifted up their pounding waves.(J)
Mightier than the thunder(K) of the great waters,
    mightier than the breakers(L) of the sea—
    the Lord on high is mighty.(M)

Your statutes, Lord, stand firm;
    holiness(N) adorns your house(O)
    for endless days.

A Prophecy Against Sidon

20 The word of the Lord came to me: 21 “Son of man, set your face against(A) Sidon;(B) prophesy against her 22 and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“‘I am against you, Sidon,
    and among you I will display my glory.(C)
You will know that I am the Lord,
    when I inflict punishment(D) on you
    and within you am proved to be holy.(E)
23 I will send a plague upon you
    and make blood flow in your streets.
The slain will fall within you,
    with the sword against you on every side.
Then you will know that I am the Lord.(F)

24 “‘No longer will the people of Israel have malicious neighbors who are painful briers and sharp thorns.(G) Then they will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.

25 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: When I gather(H) the people of Israel from the nations where they have been scattered,(I) I will be proved holy(J) through them in the sight of the nations. Then they will live in their own land, which I gave to my servant Jacob.(K) 26 They will live there in safety(L) and will build houses and plant(M) vineyards; they will live in safety when I inflict punishment(N) on all their neighbors who maligned them. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.(O)’”

20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead,(A) the firstfruits(B) of those who have fallen asleep.(C) 21 For since death came through a man,(D) the resurrection of the dead(E) comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.(F) 23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits;(G) then, when he comes,(H) those who belong to him.(I) 24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom(J) to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.(K) 25 For he must reign(L) until he has put all his enemies under his feet.(M) 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.(N) 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.”[a](O) Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ.(P) 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him,(Q) so that God may be all in all.(R)
